These terms describe how Registry operates and what to expect when using the service.

About Registry

Registry is a neutral documentation service designed to help individuals and organizations maintain structured records related to ownership documentation, claims documentation, and recovery-related activity.

Registry does not manufacture products, sell warranties, insure items, or determine outcomes. Registry is not a public directory of items or owners.

Eligibility

You may use Registry if you are legally able to enter into these terms and comply with applicable laws.

Some features may be available without creating an account. Other features require registration.

Accounts and access

When creating an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information and maintaining the security of your login credentials.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Records and submissions

Registry allows users to create records about items and attach documentation such as descriptions, images, receipts, and supporting files.

You represent that the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to upload and share the content you provide.

Verification and review

Registry may review records for completeness, internal consistency, and technical validity.

Verification by Registry means the record is organized, readable, and consistent — not that it is true, legally binding, or approved by any manufacturer, insurer, or service provider.

Claims and packets

Registry helps prepare and organize documentation so it can be exported as a structured packet and submitted into existing third-party workflows.

Registry does not approve or deny claims, interpret warranty policies, determine eligibility, assign responsibility or fault, or decide outcomes. Decisions remain with the receiving party.

Lost items and finder reports

Registry provides tools to support lost-item recovery through finder reports and safe recovery workflows.

Registry does not share personal contact information between finders and owners. Registry does not guarantee the recovery or return of any item.

Communications

Registry may send transactional emails related to account activity, records, packets, finder reports, or status updates.

You may opt out of non-essential communications where applicable.

Third-party services and partners

At a user's request, Registry may enable exporting or securely sharing documentation with third parties, including manufacturers, retailers, insurers, or service providers.

Registry is not responsible for third-party decisions, policies, timelines, or outcomes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Registry, submit intentionally false information, interfere with service operation, or attempt unauthorized access.

Registry may restrict or terminate access if misuse is detected.

Privacy and data handling

Registry is designed to minimize exposure of personal information and keep records private by default.

Registry’s privacy and safety model is described in Privacy & Safety. By using Registry, you agree to the practices described there.

Service availability

Registry is provided "as is" and may change or evolve over time.

Registry does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

Registry is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to use of the service.

Registry’s responsibility is limited to providing the service described in these terms.

Changes to these terms

Registry may update these terms from time to time.

Continued use of the service means acceptance of updated terms.
